Frequently Asked Questions

Manual Lymphatic Drainage - MLD

  • It is a specialized, world-renowned body-sculpting and detox technique created by Brazilian massage expert Renata França. It’s not a typical gentle MLD, it’s a more dynamic, precise, and rhythmic method designed to deliver visible results immediately after one session.

  • A CDT therapist is a clinician specially trained to provide CDT, a comprehensive lymphatic treatment approach used to manage lymphedema and chronic swelling safely and effectively. A Vodder trained CDT certification means the therapist has completed advanced education through the Dr. Vodder School, the originators of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

  • The Renata França method is far more manual, detailed, and physically demanding than traditional Vodder MLD. Becoming certified in the Renata França method requires international, hands-on training directly from her institute in Brazil. It’s a highly exclusive certification with limited practitioners.

  • Seasonal detox or wellness routine, fatigue or sluggishness, sinus congestion & allergies, stress relief & relaxation (calm the nervous system & boost parasympathetic system).

  • Stay hydrated before and after your appointment. Avoid heavy meals right before your session, and wear a bikini during Brazilian MLD. This allows proper access for effective and precise treatment while maintaining comfort and professionalism.

  • Many clients notice visible results, such as less bloating and a more sculpted look, after just one session of Brazilian MLD. For longer lasting benefits, a series of treatments is recommended.

  • ✅ Yes! Because the treatment is performed by an RMT, it is covered under most private insurance plans. Please check with your provider for details on your coverage.

  • At this time, we do not offer direct billing. You will receive a detailed receipt to submit to your insurance provider.

  • We require at least 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may be subject to a cancellation fee. As therapists are compensated only when services are delivered, late cancellations and no-shows directly impact their income. We appreciate your understanding and respect for this policy.
